As part of this year’s work experience our Level 2 Art & Design students created a mural for Kingston Station commissioned by The Arts Society. The artwork was made to be bright, eye-catching and uplifting for platform and train users. The final piece combines a sepia-toned background, representing Kingston's past, with bright, vibrant sections created by the learners. Together, these contrasting elements celebrate the borough's rich history while reflecting the creativity, diversity and future aspirations of the young people who study here today.
This exercise was a great opportunity for the group to develop their artistic skills, teamwork, communication and presentation skills. The finished piece is now installed at Kingston Station so please keep an eye out for it!
