Nika joined Kingston College two years ago at Entry 3 ESOL Horizons, moving onto Level 1 with GCSEs and has now been accepted onto our Level 2 BTEC in Art and Design. She says:
“Studying ESOL gave me much more confidence, not only with my English but also in communicating with people and believing in myself. I learned a lot during my time at Kingston College, and I am very grateful for all the support I received. My tutor helped me a lot - from the first time we spoke, they gave me advice and helped me understand the different options available to me. They really helped me to think about my future and my goal of going to university. I have always been very willing and motivated to continue my education and eventually go to university, but sometimes I was unsure about which direction to take. Their guidance helped me feel more confident about taking the next steps.
I am very thankful to everyone at ESOL Horizons for helping me improve my English, build my confidence and continue moving forward with my education. I honestly feel that my time here has helped me get closer to the future I want for myself.
