We are proud to celebrate the achievements of former UAL level 3 extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production student Josh, who has been building an impressive career in music production, live events and creative enterprise since leaving STC in May 2025.
Since completing his studies, Josh has gained valuable industry experience working as a roadie for Baby Queen, alongside bassist Ben Hohls. This role has given him first-hand experience of professional live music production and the demands of working within the music industry.
Alongside his industry work, Josh has been inspiring the next generation of creative professionals by running a Theatre Production Club at The Hurlingham Academy. Each week, he taught students from Years 7 to 10 a range of technical theatre and production skills, including sound engineering, lighting operation, hair and make-up, and stage crew responsibilities. The project was a huge success, with some students going on to pursue these roles after leaving secondary school.
Josh has also completed the Creative Enterprise Course at Global Academy, developing his understanding of how to establish and grow businesses within the creative industries. He has already put these skills into practice through his own ventures, including JPAudio, his production brand, and OKOWinTCG, a successful Pokémon Trading Card Game social media platform.
Reflecting on his time at STC, Josh credits the course's live productions and Final Major Projects (FMPs) for helping him develop the confidence, professionalism and practical knowledge needed to succeed. The experience he gained through STC's Tech Crew also provided valuable insight into lighting and backstage operations, skills that continue to support both his production work and live performances today.
Josh continues to create music and apply the skills he developed during his studies, demonstrating how dedication, creativity and hands-on experience can lead to exciting opportunities in the creative industries.
We are incredibly proud of everything Josh has achieved and look forward to seeing where his career takes him next.
