Meet Daniel, who achieved D*D*D*, equivalent to 3 A* grades at A Level on the BTEC in Art & Design. He chose BTEC so he “could focus on one thing I truly enjoyed” and that “the course is great at exploring a very wide range of Art techniques and topics.”
“I chose the BTEC in Art & Design as I was a fan of how hands-on it was with learning new techniques along with the creative freedom the course gave me. I felt like BTEC was more for me as I could focus on one thing I truly enjoyed rather than juggling subjects that I most likely wouldn’t have been as engaged in.
College definitely helped me grow into a more expressive and creative person helped by my learning, peers and tutors. I would definitely recommend the course to others especially if they’re interested in art but not sure of a specific path they want to pursue. The course is great at exploring a very wide range of Art techniques and topics. My next step is Kingston University where I’ve accepted a place on their Foundation Year in Art & Design.
On the BTEC course, I developed new skills such as graphic designing skills along with learning how to sew to a higher level, which was massively helped by all my tutors. The course definitely helped prepare for next steps and in the future I might look at pursuing art and/or tattooing as a full time career.”
