For first-year student Haly, the decision to study a T Level was driven by a desire to combine academic learning with meaningful industry experience.

Currently studying T Level in Design & Development for Engineering & Manufacturing, Haly was attracted by the substantial industry placement and the opportunity to pursue an alternative route to A Levels. The qualification is helping her build the knowledge and practical skills needed for a future engineering career while preparing for her 45-day placement.

After completing the course, Haly hopes to secure an apprenticeship in either electrical engineering or mechatronics: "I wanted a qualification that was academic but also gave me experience of the workplace. That's what made the T Level stand out. I'm really looking forward to my industry placement and gaining experience that will help me achieve my career goals."
