Our Level 3 Year 1 Art and Design students enjoyed an enriching experience exploring the National Portrait Gallery and the iconic Banksy Tunnel, discovering a diverse range of historical and contemporary art.
The visits gave students the opportunity to experience artworks in person, explore different artistic approaches and gain fresh inspiration for their own creative projects. Seeing art in its original setting encouraged new ways of thinking, supported creative experimentation and deepened their understanding of how art can influence and reflect the world around us.
Students highlighted how seeing artworks first-hand encouraged new ideas and offered fresh perspectives to inform their own creative projects.
By exploring these vibrant cultural spaces, students were able to connect their classroom learning with the wider creative world, broaden their artistic horizons and strengthen their engagement with their studies.
