National T Levels Week shines a spotlight on students who are developing the skills employers are looking for through industry-focused qualifications.
Second-year student Victor is studying T Level Design & Development for Engineering & Manufacturing and is completing a 45-day industry placement with British Airways.
During his placement, Victor is gaining valuable insight into professional engineering practices while applying the knowledge and skills developed through his studies. The experience has strengthened his ambition to pursue a career in engineering and helped him develop confidence in a workplace environment.
"The T Level has given me the opportunity to learn in the classroom and put those skills into practice through my industry placement. Working alongside professionals at British Airways is a fantastic experience and confirmed that engineering is the career I want to pursue. I'd highly recommend the course to students who enjoy problem-solving and want experience of the workplace while studying."
Following completion of his studies, Victor hopes to secure an engineering apprenticeship.
