Earlier this month, Kingston College's T Level Accounting students enjoyed a valuable visit to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Headquarters in Central London, gaining first-hand insight into the accounting profession and future career opportunities.
During the visit, students attended a presentation introducing ACCA, its role within the industry and its global membership network. They also took part in an interactive employability workshop focused on CV writing, interview techniques and strategies for securing employment and apprenticeship opportunities, including practical guidance on using the STAR method to demonstrate skills and experience effectively.
The day also included a panel session featuring three ACCA members, who shared their individual career journeys and answered students' questions about working in the profession. ACCA generously provided lunch and refreshments, helping to create a welcoming and engaging experience for all attendees.
A total of 16 students, including six second-year and ten first-year learners, took part in the visit. The trip forms part of Kingston College's growing partnership with ACCA and reflects the College's commitment to providing students with meaningful industry engagement that enhances their learning and supports progression into successful careers in accounting and finance.
