We have partnered with We Make Footballers: Chelsea & Fulham to provide Sport and Physical Activity learners with valuable hands-on coaching experience, creating pathways into employment while inspiring young players.
Students studying Level 3 Certificate in Sport and Physical Activity completed weekly work experience placements with the grassroots football organisation. They supported coaching sessions, organised training activities, and worked directly with children to develop their skills in a fun and engaging environment.
The partnership began at the start of the academic year when Jonah Andreae, Franchise Director, visited the College to share his career journey and promote the opportunity. His talk encouraged students to apply and put their classroom learning into practice.
Throughout the programme, learners demonstrated strong commitment and professionalism. Several have now progressed into paid coaching roles, supported by practical experience and strong references.
Jonah Andreae said:
“Through their work experience, these learners have grown in confidence and professionalism, creating a positive environment where young players can thrive. As they move into paid roles, they become role models in their community, inspiring children to love football and be their best on and off the pitch.”
