As the academic year comes to a close, we would like to wish our Access to Paramedic Science students the very best of luck at university!
The lovely photos are from one of the final sessions in Kingston College's impressive mock Hospital Ward on the fifth floor.
Equipped with hospital beds, wheelchairs and realistic dummy patients, the purpose-built facility has provided students with an invaluable opportunity to develop their practical skills in a realistic clinical environment. Throughout the year, they have worked hard to build the knowledge, confidence and experience needed for a career in healthcare and to prepare for the next stage of their education.
Access Lecturer, Marta Alvim, commented: “From practising patient care and communication skills to applying classroom learning in realistic scenarios, the students have embraced every opportunity to develop both personally and professionally. Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment have been evident throughout the programme, and it has been a pleasure to watch them grow in confidence over the past year.
“We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and would like to wish all of our Access to Paramedic Science students the very best as they head to university next year. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the future and have no doubt they will go on to make a real difference in the lives of the people they care for.”
Congratulations and good luck to the entire cohort!
