Safeguarding

Level 3 Mental Health & Wellbeing students recently showcased their knowledge and creativity by presenting a thought-provoking project exploring the lives of historical figures who faced significant discrimination yet went on to achieve remarkable success and inspire others.

As part of their studies, students researched individuals from a range of backgrounds who overcame barriers such as prejudice, racism, sexism, inequality and exclusion. Through their presentations, they highlighted the resilience, determination and courage these figures demonstrated despite the challenges they encountered.

The project also encouraged students to examine the impact that discrimination can have on mental health. By exploring real-life experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of the emotional and psychological effects of discrimination and the importance of creating supportive, inclusive environments.
