Students and staff came together this week for a fantastic Sports Day, with over 60 students from three different campuses taking part in a fun and active day of events.
With the sun shining and a welcome breeze throughout the day, the weather could not have been better and helped create a great atmosphere from start to finish. Students showed brilliant enthusiasm and sportsmanship in every event, constantly cheering each other on, encouraging participation, and sharing tips to help one another improve.
There was a wide range of activities throughout the day including long jump, high jump, tug of war, volleyball, football throw, the 100m sprint, and the 50m walking race. Staff also got involved with their own 50m race, which brought lots of laughs and support from students watching.
The day was a huge success and gave students the chance to meet others from different campuses, build confidence, and enjoy taking part in activities together in a supportive environment. The results of the day were: South Thames came in first place, Carshalton in second, and Merton in third. A big thank you goes to everyone who helped organise the event and to all the students and staff who took part and made the day such a positive experience.
