During induction week, first-year BTEC Business Level 2 and 3 students at Kingston College took part in an engaging virtual talk on Recruitment and Selection delivered by Ketan Dattani, CEO and Founder of Buckingham Futures. The session supported students' studies for their upcoming unit, The Recruitment and Selection Process.
Established in 2013, Buckingham Futures is a specialist recruitment consultancy that works with public and private sector organisations, helping them address workforce challenges and connect with talented professionals across environmental health, housing and related sectors. The company is known for its personalised approach to recruitment and commitment to supporting career development.
Sharing his expertise and industry experience, Ketan encouraged students to focus on developing their employability skills alongside their qualifications. He said: "Your qualification may open the door, but your attitude, communication and ability to make an impact will determine what happens next. Start building your employability today, not when you finish your studies."
Reflecting on the partnership, Ketan added: "It was a pleasure to support Kingston College, and I'd be delighted to explore further opportunities to work together in the future."
Marlon Commock, Team Leader for Business at Kingston College, thanked Ketan for his contribution: "The session was extremely informative and engaging, and the students thoroughly enjoyed hearing about your experiences and the key learning points regarding employability skills. We have already received positive feedback from students, who found the session both insightful and inspiring."
The College looks forward to working with Buckingham Futures again to provide students with valuable industry insights and real-world perspectives on career development.
