The Kingston College Men's Football Academy has made an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, with students demonstrating commitment, hard work and determination both on and off the pitch.

Since the beginning of the season, 60 Kingston College students have been involved in academy training sessions and pre-season friendlies, highlighting the strength and enthusiasm within the programme.

The academy has completed 10 intensive training sessions designed to develop technical ability, tactical understanding and physical conditioning ahead of the competitive season. Players have also gained valuable match experience through 10 pre-season friendlies, recording an encouraging return of five wins, two draws and three defeats.

Alongside their football development, players have taken part in three performance testing sessions to measure fitness levels and monitor progress. The assessments included:

  • Bleep Test (aerobic endurance)
  • T-Test (agility)
  • 20m Speed Test (acceleration)
  • Press-Ups (upper body muscular endurance)
  • Broad Jump (explosive power)

These tests provide players and coaches with valuable performance data, helping to track individual development and identify areas for improvement throughout the season.

The strong levels of participation, positive results on the pitch and commitment shown during fitness testing reflect the dedication of the academy's students as they prepare for the challenges ahead.

With momentum building and a talented group of players developing together, the academy is now looking forward to the release of the upcoming fixtures and the start of league competition towards the end of September. With excitement growing across the squad, the future looks bright for Kingston College Men's Football Academy as the new season gets underway.
