On Wednesday 14th October, AFTERDRIVE came to play for our students in the Penny School Gallery. Music students at Kingston College recently had the exciting opportunity to meet and learn from rising band AFTERDRIVE, who have toured alongside major artists including Ed Sheeran and McFly.
The band delivered a live performance before taking part in a Q&A session, giving learners a valuable insight into the realities of working in today’s music industry. From life on tour to building a career as independent musicians, AFTERDRIVE shared their experiences, challenges and successes, inspiring students who are considering their own future in the industry.
Estelle Vincent, Photography Lecturer said: "This was a great opportunity for our second-year Photography students who are currently working on building their websites and putting portfolios together for university application. It was also fantastic for them to hear first-hand from working music professionals and gain a deeper understanding of the dedication, resilience and creativity needed to succeed in the modern music business."
