Students from our UAL Music Performance and Production courses wowed audiences with their spectacular Ghost Town: A Spooky Concert, showcasing their musical talents, creativity and stage presence in what proved to be the busiest and most successful music show to date.

The concert brought together the entire Music Performance and Production cohort, including students from the new UAL Level 2 Diploma, UAL Level 3 Diploma and UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma programmes.

Performing to a packed venue, students treated the audience to a themed setlist featuring spooky favourites such as Thriller, Goo Goo Muck and It's Been So Long by The Living Tombstone, alongside a selection of pop, funk and rock classics.

In preparation for the concert, students spent six weeks working collaboratively in bands and rehearsal groups. To help build confidence and develop their live performance skills, they took part in mini performances every two weeks before taking to the stage for the final show.

The Halloween-inspired theme encouraged students to think beyond the music, incorporating creative stage design and costumes to enhance their performances and entertain the audience.

David Henckel, Course Leader, said:

"I was so impressed by the quality of performance from all groups. The theme enabled the students to think about stage design and costume, and they brought a huge sense of fun, energy and commitment to the stage which really energised the audience. The venue was packed. It was without doubt our busiest and best show yet. I can't wait to see how this cohort develops."

Students were equally enthusiastic about the experience.

Shaqi'destiny Carter-Smith, a Level 3 Diploma student, described the concert as:

"Absolutely breathtaking."

Jeremiah Padmore, also studying on the Level 3 Diploma, said:

"It was really fun."

The success of Ghost Town: A Spooky Concert highlights the dedication, teamwork and talent of our Music students and marks an exciting start to the year for this growing and ambitious cohort.
