BTEC Travel with Aviation student, Erisa, is preparing for the next exciting step in her educational journey after securing a place to study BA (Hons) Tourism Management at the University of Westminster which she chose for its central London location: “Being in the heart of London, one of the world’s leading tourism destinations, gives me access to a wide range of job opportunities, internships and industry events.”
Looking ahead, Erisa plans to continue developing her knowledge and skills while exploring professional opportunities within the travel and tourism industry. Speaking about her achievement and future ambitions, she said:
"My plan after college is to study BA (Hons) Tourism Management at University of Westminster whilst seeking professional opportunities within the travel and tourism sector."
She further reflected on her time at college, praising the support: "I am grateful for the support and guidance I received from my tutors which played a crucial role in my achievement."
"I chose to study this course rather than A Levels as it combined academic learning with practical industry focused experiences. This helped me gain real world knowledge and development of professional skills."
Erisa’s success highlights the value of vocational learning in providing students with both academic knowledge and practical experience, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to progress to university and careers within the travel and tourism sector.
