As part of National T Levels Week, we are celebrating the achievements of students who are combining classroom learning with valuable industry experience.

Second-year student Jai is studying T Level Design & Development for Engineering & Manufacturing and is completing a 45-day industry placement with British Airways.

The placement is providing Jai with first-hand experience of a professional engineering environment, helping him develop practical skills, workplace confidence and a deeper understanding of the sector. Jai has particularly enjoyed the balance between academic study and industry experience that the T Level offers.

"I've really enjoyed studying the T Level because it gives you a combination of theory and practical experience. My placement at British Airways helped me understand how engineering works in the real world and showed me the exciting opportunities available in the industry. I would definitely recommend the course to anyone considering a career in engineering."

After completing his T Level, Jai hopes to progress into employment or an apprenticeship in aerospace, mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
