Safeguarding

ESOL Horizons students and lecturer Byron Davies successfully completed their Walkathon in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH), walking an impressive 21 miles from Kingston to Waterloo on 16 June.

Along the route, the group handed out leaflets and collected donations, helping to raise awareness of the vital work carried out by GOSH. Fortunately, the weather stayed dry throughout the day, making for ideal walking conditions.

Byron praised the students for their enthusiasm and determination, with many completing the entire route from start to finish.

Following the Walkathon and additional collections, the classes have now totalled their fundraising efforts and raised a fantastic £920 and counting for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. The money will help support life-changing care, research and services for seriously ill children and their families.
