BTEC Creative Media students at Kingston College are celebrating major success at the 2026 Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF), with a standout win and multiple shortlisted films showcasing the strength of student talent.
Students Faustas and Devon took first place in the Under 18 category with their romantic comedy Change Here For, earning a prestigious mentorship with the KIFF team alongside a two-week internship on a professional production.
The success didn’t stop there, as fellow students also dominated the shortlist, with Lady Lichtenstein by Harper and Kassie and Sight by Matvei all recognised - highlighting the depth of creativity across the course.
In total, five films by this year’s students were selected for the festival’s student showcase, including The White Noise Effect by Ayana and The Works of the Wizard by Edward, Harvey, Elliot, Joseph and Oliver.
Lecturer Rob Stuart praised the achievement, noting the exceptional standard of work produced this year and congratulating all involved. The films, which were screened at the Odeon Kingston on Sunday 7 June, offered audiences the chance to experience the students’ work on the big screen.
