Art & Design

The creative industries are the most exciting, dynamic, diverse and fastest-growing areas in the UK, which is great news if you are thinking of this as your future career.

We have two campuses: students study at our dedicated Creative Industries Centre (CIC) as well as at our Kingston Hall Road Centre (KHR). Our talented students exhibit a range of their work at our end of year Summer Shows held at the CIC . Our short Summer Shows video encapsulates the talent, vibrancy and range of courses we offer!

Our exciting Creative Industries Centre offers purposeful art studios, workshops, digital suites, TV and photography studios, music studios, rehearsal rooms and classrooms to enhance and support your learning experience. The on-site Penny School Gallery offers a space for exhibitions and performances enabling student work to be showcased throughout the year.

In a series of videos following an exhibition, BTEC Photography students explain the concept of their project, what inspired them, the techniques they used, including acrylic transfers, screen printing and liquid emulsion, how to effectively display their work, and what they've learned on the course so far. Take a look here.

“I am optimistic for the future as the skills I have learned will heavily aid me at Loughborough University and give me the skills necessary within the field of architecture.” LUCA FERRARA, BTEC 3D DESIGN
