Having my grades solely dependent on exam results was not going to work out. I knew that to get the UCAS points I needed to get into top universities, I needed an alternative path. Jamahl gained D*D*D* and is now studying at University College London. Jamahl Golland, Sport & Exercise Science Student
“I chose Kingston College as it has had a reputation for being a very good college for many years. I think the best thing about the varied assessments is how closely they mimic the style of university assessments, enabling you to feel prepared for university. I truly believe that without this course, I would not have these opportunities in my life right now.”
Jamahl gained D*D*D, equivalent to 3 A at A Level, and is now at University College London studying Sport & Exercise Medical Sciences BSc.
"I really enjoyed the fact that I could play football while studying, with a great set of lectures and lessons especially during my last year. I also achieved a Level 1 Coaching Certificate so I could externally volunteer to coach football which is something I really enjoy.
"I would highly recommend applying. I was able to get onto a physiotherapy degree which is generally very competitive. Kingston College helped me achieve a real ambition of mine. I was provided with a route which allowed me to enjoy my education and prepare me in ways which I wasn’t aware of until I started university. I was also pleasantly surprised to see someone from college here with me at Wolverhampton University."
Former BTEC Sport & Exercise Science student, Tyler Newman, has graduated from St Mary’s University with a First Class Honours degree in Sports Communications & Marketing. Tyler finished his two year BTEC at Kingston College in 2019 gaining D*D*D*, the equivalent of 3 A* at A Level.
“I studied a BTEC and this was a great decision which benefited me massively in obtaining the maximum amount of UCAS points enabling me to get into my preferred university."
