Students from both Carshalton and Merton Colleges have been supporting Age UK Merton's Christmas Gift Appeal, helping to spread some festive cheer throughout the community. The campaign encourages local people and businesses to donate a Christmas gift to local Merton residents who might not otherwise receive one.
Many students took part in the campaign: Carshalton students contributed gifts to the hampers; Foundation Learning students from both Colleges decorated Christmas cards; Health & Social Care students at Merton decorated and packed each gift bag.
Entry Level 3 Cookery students (Merton) also made mince pies for the Christmas lunches at Age UK Merton.
As well as the generous range of gifts donated by local companies, we also have two vouchers from the Marriott Hotel which will be raffled off to staff to raise money for the campaign.
