Health and Social Care

Do you want to be a paramedic? Become a counsellor? Work as a nurse? As some of the most important jobs in society, a career in Health and Social Care will reward and challenge you.

There are 1.48 million health and social care professionals in the UK, working in many different settings. Our courses are designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge needed to care for others in a broad range of health or social care settings. Many past students have progressed on to university at degree level.

You may decide to take on a role with the elderly, children or young people, terminally ill clients, individuals with mental health problems, people with learning difficulties or people with dementia. Some people prefer to visit clients at home whilst others enjoy being part of a large team in a care facility.

My ambition has always been to train as a Paramedic and I new that studying Health & Social Care would help me gain the knowledge that I needed to be able to pursue that career. Zoe Fitz-Maurice, Health & Social Care Student
