Health and Social Care - Level 2 Extended Diploma (NCFE Cache)

This course will prepare you for work or further study in health and social care by delivering a range of units related to different aspects of the health and social care sector. You will carry out work experience in a variety of health and social care settings. You will ll have the chance to hear from professionals - like midwives and nurses - who are already working successfully in this area. They will talk to you about their career path, the sorts of skills and behaviours you should demonstrate and what opportunities there are for people prepared to work.

  • Entry Requirements


    We will invite you to a Meet the Tutor event where you will receive information, advice, and guidance about the course you have applied for. This will be an opportunity for you to gain valuable information about the course and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

    You will provide a copy of your last school report and / or a reference from an employer or relevant professional other. This is to ensure we can support you to be able to achieve well on the course.

    4 x GCSE's at D/3 or above, or a Level 1 qualification in a relevant subject.

    Your GCSE profile must include either maths and / or English , or a Functional Skills qualification in maths and / or English.

    You can progress to a Level 3 course to prepare for university, or for better job prospects, or you can aaply for an apprenticeship.

  • Assessment Details


    You will complete written assessments for each unit. There are no external exams.
