We welcomed engineering company Alstom to Merton, where four representatives set a live brief for our Level 3 Engineering students to work in teams to develop and deliver highly technical presentations.
The Alstom team included Robert Greenbrook, Technical Support Manager; Andrew McLauchlan, Depot Manager; Li Kiho, Engineering Manager; and Hamza Khan, Fleet Maintenance Lead Engineer.
They were impressed by our students’ innovative ideas, technical insight and attention to detail - highlighting the effort and thought put into each response.
Judging is now underway, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners to be announced at a highly anticipated ceremony at Merton College on 9 June.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and real-world experience which this live brief offered them. A big thank you to Alstom for providing our students with this opportunity.
