Former BTEC Business student, Lamyah, returned to Kingston College during Employability Week to inspire current learners with her career journey.
Lamyah graduated this summer with a brilliant D*D*D grade - equivalent to two A* grades and one A at A Level - and is now undertaking a Degree Apprenticeship with CBRE in Commercial Real Estate.
She spoke to current BTEC Extended Diploma in Business students about her experience navigating the highly competitive application process, offering practical tips on how to succeed. Lamyah also gave an honest insight into her day-to-day routine, balancing full-time work from 9 to 5 across four days with remote study on the fifth.
Her confident and engaging presentation highlighted both the highs and challenges of combining work and study, and she answered questions from the group with clarity and enthusiasm.
