ESOL Horizons students a Kingston College have been volunteering with the National Trust at the beautiful Morden Hall Park, making a meaningful contribution to the care and preservation of one of our local green spaces. Working alongside National Trust staff, students took part in a range of practical conservation tasks, including litter‑picking across the park grounds and helping to trim and maintain woodland areas.
The experience offered students the chance to give back to the community while developing teamwork, communication and environmental awareness. Their hard work directly supported the National Trust’s ongoing efforts to protect the park’s natural landscape and ensure it remains a clean, thriving space for wildlife and visitors alike.
The team at Morden Hall Park expressed appreciation for the students’ energy and enthusiasm, and the day provided a rewarding opportunity for learners to connect with nature, practise their English in a real‑world setting and make a positive local impact.
