First year Level 3 BTEC in Business students at Kingston College were invited by the newly opened Prezzo Italian to support its introduction to the local community through a real‑world work experience marketing project. Students were tasked with developing research aimed at boosting Prezzo’s visibility as a successful QSR in Kingston - and, of course, the promise of free pizzas had absolutely nothing to do with their enthusiasm!
Last Thursday, students delivered their final Market Research presentations to members of the Prezzo marketing team, addressing the original business objective and showcasing their findings. Over several weeks, students conducted surveys in and around Kingston, gathering valuable data to inform their ideas and recommendations.
Their proposals were well received, with strong use of industry techniques such as SWOT analysis and clear, creative suggestions for increasing brand awareness in the local area. The experience gave students the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional setting, developing their research, analytical and presentation skills.
To celebrate the success of the project, students were invited to enjoy a well‑earned lunch at the Prezzo restaurant in Kingston - the perfect way to round off a highly engaging and rewarding live brief.
