Huge congratulations to two of our creative hairdressing students at Kingston College who have progressed to the regional heats of the WorldSkills UK Hairdressing Competition 2026, in partnership with L’Oréal. This year saw a record number of entries and an exceptionally high standard, making this achievement even more impressive.
During the live competition, students were put to the test by showcasing their creativity and technical ability across a series of demanding practical tasks, completed on official WorldSkills UK training heads:
- Ladies Long Hair Styling
- Ladies Long Hair Styling – Bridal Design
- Ladies Commercial Cut, Colour and Style
Matilda (Level 2 Hairdressing) and Elizabeth (Level 3 Hairdressing) will now progress to a LIVE regional heat which will be hosted at Kingston College, where they will demonstrate their professionalism, precision and creative flair under competition conditions.
This achievement highlights not only the exceptional talent and dedication of our students, but also the strength of our industry-led hairdressing training and professional partnerships.
