BTEC Creative Media student, Christhiane Moncau, gained Triple Distinction*, equivalent to 3 A* at A Level, and received offers from all 5 universities she applied to, with unconditional offers from London South Bank University and Solent University. Christhiane has accepted a place at LSBU to study BA (Hons) Film and Television Practice.
Christhiane says: “I chose Kingston College as it has a huge reputation for its courses and grades. I have always had a passion for media and films in general, but it was only when taking my media GCSE that I knew this was what I wanted to do in the future.
“I chose BTEC as they are graded on coursework. I love making and managing my own projects; exams are not really my thing, so when I found out that a BTEC would offer me everything I enjoy doing, I didn’t have to think twice!
"I believe that my time at Kingston College gave me a huge advantage in my early professional life; I’ve produced many short films and professional content, such as my website and social media accounts, where universities and employers can have a look at all the content I have created for the past two years.
“During the second year we had more freedom to work on what we wanted to create. I’ve made friends for life and learned much more than I thought any college could teach me. It took a lot of hard work to achieve the perfect grades, but all my tutors were very helpful and made sure to give me all the advice I needed in order to achieve my goals.
“If you enjoy creating your own content, and want to be part of the media industry, I strongly recommend the Creative Media Practice BTEC course at Kingston College, it’s a great creative and fun course that will give you everything you need to become a content creator.”
