BUSINESS students at South Thames College were given an insight into the world of financial trading when they had a visit from market training experts.
A group of 80 Level 3 students at the Wandsworth campus met staff from financial education company Educate 2 Trade in a visit organised by the college’s Employability team.
They were given a chance to lead discussions on all aspects of finance and during the visit they discussed how trading works and its importance to the economy, how to trade safely, risks and strategies.
The discussion also covered financial literacy, money management skills, understanding finances and making informed decisions.
Educate 2 Trade offers career advice and financial educational support and training to people interested in learning about trading in financial markets.
Employability Co-ordinator Victor Dada said: “It was a very worthwhile visit for the students, who said they found it very informative and practical. They came away with a far more in depth knowledge and understanding of how to manage their finances and why saving and investing is so important – even at a young age.
“We’re very grateful to Shweta, Ikjot, Bradley and Enzo from Educate 2 Trade for making the time to come along.”
