Morden Hall Park's Great Reindeer Trail Hunt 2025
Carshalton College’s Carpentry and Construction Multi-Skills students are bringing festive cheer with a sustainable twist. As part of the College’s ongoing commitment to eco-friendly practices, the students have been commissioned to handcraft decorative reindeer using cut-back timber sourced by park rangers. This initiative gives new life to reclaimed materials, including broken fence posts repurposed as reindeer legs.
Each handcrafted reindeer will be paired with a wooden pallet Christmas tree which was originally created in 2024 by Carshalton College construction students continuing the tradition of creative, sustainable decorations.
Materials have already been delivered, and the team have working hard to meet the deadline. Once completed, these festive creations will play a key role in raising funds for the upkeep of the park, reinforcing the college’s dedication to community and environmental responsibility.
