The Level 1 Directed Pathways lunch club at Kingston College, run by Pastoral Tutor Sabah Malik, has become a positive and inclusive space for students who are demonstrating high levels of interaction with peers from different groups, helping them build new friendships and strengthen their social confidence.
The club has been particularly beneficial for high needs and vulnerable students, encouraging them to come out of their shell in a fun, safe and supportive environment. This is a direct result of the excellent work Sabah has done to foster trust, belonging and engagement within pastoral support for students.
Special thanks also go to Jordan Rowntree, Team Leader for Travel, Esports and Directed Pathway, whose support helped get the club up and running.
