This week, Kingston College welcomed the vibrant and innovative Hikapee Theatre Company for a dynamic workshop with our BTEC Level 3 Year 2 Dance students. Known for their bold blend of circus and physical theatre, Hikapee brought their unique creative energy to campus, delivering an immersive session focused on movement improvisation.
Students explored new ways of expressing themselves through physical storytelling, guided by Hikapee’s experienced performers. The workshop encouraged spontaneity, collaboration, and creative risk-taking—core elements of both circus and contemporary dance.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our dancers to step outside their usual routines and engage with a fresh artistic perspective. We’re grateful to Hikapee Theatre for sharing their expertise and inspiring our students to push the boundaries of movement and performance.
