On Wednesday 3 December, students and staff from the Barbering team at Kingston College were thrilled to host a Great British Barber Bash event. This free, high-energy session coincided with a visit from our Japanese guests, giving them - and our students - an unmissable opportunity to experience live demonstrations of cutting-edge barbering techniques. The Barbering students gained practical tips, hands-on advice and plenty of inspiration from the Barber Bash Education team.
The Barber Bash team, led by industry expert Garry, has delivered over fifty major shows across Europe and taken their skills to destinations as far afield as Dubai, Malta, Spain, Taiwan and Italy. Renowned for their high-quality, fashion-forward education, Garry and his team have built an international reputation through workshops and “look and learn” events for barbers and hairdressers in salons, shops, and colleges worldwide. Garry’s meticulous attention to detail and passion for the craft have firmly established him as a leading figure in the barbering and hairdressing community.
Garry was joined by two talented educators, Brodie Raeside and Brandyn Murphy, who worked on four student models, each receiving a first-class, on-trend trim. Students were also treated to fantastic goodie bags, courtesy of OSMO, adding an extra buzz to an already unforgettable day.
The Barber Bash team shared their appreciation after the event: “Working with the team at the Kingston College was a total pleasure! Thank you to everyone involved in organising the session, and a special shoutout to the brilliant education team and Jenny Wiltshire - your hospitality was truly appreciated. We’re already looking forward to many more visits to the College with the Barber Bash Education Team!”
