A huge well done to Carshalton College's Foundation Learning 2 students, who recently showcased their creativity and community spirit through a spooky and successful fundraising event.
As part of their Social Action Project, the group made Halloween-themed cupcakes and lanterns, which they sold in our Essentials shop to staff and students to raise money for charity.
The students worked hard to design, bake, and decorate a range of tasty treats, complete with fun and festive Halloween details. They also hand-crafted colourful lanterns that added a touch of seasonal charm to the display. The sale attracted plenty of attention around campus, with staff and students eager to support the cause — and enjoy a few sweet delights along the way!
This project not only helped raise funds for charity but also gave students valuable hands-on experience in teamwork, creativity, communication, and enterprise. Staff members praised the group’s enthusiasm and effort, highlighting how the project helped build confidence and a strong sense of community involvement.
Congratulations to everyone involved for turning their skills and imagination into such a successful social action initiative — and for bringing a bit of Halloween spirit to the college!
