Level 3 Engineering and T Level students recently experienced the fantastic opportunity to visit the British Airways Head Office at Heathrow Airport.

The external trip started with an exciting Dragon’s Den style activity, where students worked in teams to design innovative ideas aimed at enhancing the passenger experience for British Airways. They demonstrated impressive creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills throughout the task.

The day also featured a series of informative talks from guest speakers, who provided valuable insights into the wide range of career opportunities available within British Airways. This gave students a real understanding of the pathways open to them in the aviation industry.

A particular highlight was hearing from current British Airways apprentices. They spoke passionately about their experiences, the skills they have gained and the journey they have undertaken. The enthusiasm and pride in their achievements made a strong impression on our students.

The visit concluded with a detailed overview of British Airways’ Apprenticeship Programmes, including guidance on the application process. This proved extremely beneficial, with many of our students expressing a keen interest in exploring these opportunities in the future.

This inspiring and engaging visit has helped our students gain valuable insight into careers within the aviation sector.
