After undertaking a six-week work placement with DRK Lighting last September, two of our Level 2 Electrical students have been provided the opportunity to take up full time employment once they complete their qualifications.
We are delighted to share that two of our Level 3 Electrical students, Shay and Anas, should shortly be offered full time employment with DRK Lighting in the very near future.
Students Shay and Anas quickly demonstrated their skills and commitment during their placements and their talent was recognised by the DRK team. This led to part time employment and now, excitingly, full-time opportunities.
During their time with the company, Adam, CEO of DRK Lighting, also treated the students to a memorable experience at AFC Wimbledon, where they enjoyed watching a match from an executive box.
This is a fantastic example of how meaningful work experience can lead to successful career pathways.
We would like to extend our thanks to DRK Lighting for their continued support of Merton College. This academic year alone, four of our students are working part time for DRK with a view to full time roles being offered in the future.
