Carshalton College is proud to celebrate the incredible achievement of Renee, a Level 3 Diploma in Sports and Physical Activity student, who successfully completed the prestigious Ironman European Championship in Hamburg, Germany on 1 June.

At just 19 years old, Renee was one of the youngest female competitors in the race — a formidable challenge featuring a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride, and a 42.2km marathon run. She crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 14 hours, demonstrating extraordinary endurance, discipline, and mental resilience.

Renee’s father, John, expressed heartfelt thanks to Carshalton College and her tutor, Rob, for their continued support:
"We are deeply grateful for the encouragement and academic flexibility provided by the College. Rob played a key role in helping Renee transition into her new environment after our relocation from India last year."

Renee now sets her sights on IRONMAN Japan in 2026. Her dedication and passion are a true inspiration, and we are honoured to support her on her remarkable journey.

Congratulations, Renee – we look forward to seeing what you accomplish next!
