The Committee of South London Principals (COSLP) held their annual Best Learner and Teacher Awards on Thursday 25th May at the House of Lords to celebrate their very best learners and exceptional teachers.
Best Student Carshalton College: Angel Willoughby
Angel is studying a Level 2 Diploma in Sports and is coming towards the end of a second successful term.
Angel started college in September feeling apprehensive about embarking on a new educational journey having previously experienced some barriers to learning before which has massively impacted on her educational achievements.
Fast forward to now and Angel is a Distinction student with 93% attendance and 100% punctuality. Angel participates in wider college experiences, acts as a Student Ambassador and embraces any additional opportunities with both hands.
Her tutor said: "Angel faces daily challenges but I have watched her grow into a more confident and engaging member of her class who is an absolute pleasure to teach".
