Thank you so much to Kevin and Virgil from the MA Architecture and Landscape course at Kingston University and Natalie Kay from Stanley Picker Gallery for inviting our first year Architecture students to be part of the community involvement in their ‘Under Construction’ exhibition.

The Kingston College students enjoyed a talk from Salah Krichen who is one of the tutors on the course and watched a short film about Takeshi Hayatsu who is working with the University students on their live build project.

Our architect students were shown earth ramming as part of the community involvement for the exhibition which is a temporary shrine at the entrance of the Stanley Picker Gallery. Students had the opportunity to sketch the timber joints as part of the Japanese shrine construction and on return to College produced large scale drawings.
