Why you chose to study a BTEC and why you chose Kingston College?

I chose a BTEC because I wanted a more practical and project-based approach to learning. Kingston College stood out for its facilities, tutors and creative environment, which was exactly what I was looking for.

Your plans after you complete your course?

I will be studying BA (Hons) Product and Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins (UAL), and I hope to work on innovative design projects that improve everyday life.

Favourite part of your course?

My favourite part of the BTEC in 3D Design was developing real prototypes and seeing my design ideas come to life through model making and 3D printing.

Is College life what you expected? Have there been any surprises?

It was more supportive and collaborative than I expected. The tutors were really helpful, and I enjoyed working with other creative students.

Any advice to those thinking about applying for your course?

Be ready to experiment and fail—it’s part of the learning process. Don’t be afraid to push your ideas forward.

Any opportunities you’ve enjoyed here that you particularly loved?

I really enjoyed showcasing my final project during the end-of-year exhibition. It was a great way to share my work and meet people from the creative industry.

Any amazing tutors or met great new friends?

Yes, I’ve had amazing support from all my tutors, especially in the final year. I’ve also made some great friends through the course who I hope to stay in touch with.
