Our amazing Access to Science students at Kingston College laid on quite a spread for their charity bake sale in support of the children’s wards at St George’s Hospital. The irresistible home-made cakes and cookies were truly exceptional and they went above and beyond to ensure the sale was a great success.
Jenny Stobart, Lecturer – Biology, enthused: “The students really are bakers extraordinaire; another skill to add to their lists of many talents. What is so remarkable is that for the Access to Science course, this time of year is probably the most intense, with university interviews taking place alongside continuing assignments and exams, as well as their weekly lesson schedule. Yet they took on the bake sale with such enthusiasm, giving up any free time to bake and on the day, worked together to create a fantastic atmosphere and many people have commented on how warm, friendly, and helpful the students were. Plus, they were on their feet all day as the sale went on for longer than originally planned. Our students are truly inspiring; we are very lucky to have them!”
