Safeguarding

Joy, pride and celebration filled the air at Kingston College as the Class of 2025 marked their graduation across three wonderful ceremonies. Families, friends and staff gathered to celebrate the achievements of this fantastic group of students.

The College Sports Hall was transformed into a vibrant celebration space, featuring incredible live performances from our Music and Performing Arts – Dance students, with technical support expertly delivered by our Theatre Production students and staff. Each group of graduates took to the stage to receive their certificates, amidst cheers from the delighted audience.

College Principal John O’Shea, said: “You should reflect on what you have achieved as one of the greatest accomplishments of your life. Every one of you has done brilliantly. You are joining over 100,000 Kingston College alumni since we opened our doors in 1899.”

He then urged them not to be afraid of failing, quoting superstar US basketball player, Michael Jordan, who famously said: “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can’t accept not trying again.”

The Principal continued: “You’ve achieved a brilliant qualification with us, always aim high and don’t ever be afraid to try”. He then asked the students to acknowledge their families who have supported them along the way, alongside with the incredible tutors and staff at Kingston College.

Graduates and guests enjoyed their graduations with a DJ welcome alongside photo opps in a giant deck chair - creating lasting memories and emotional goodbyes to tutors and classmates.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. Congratulations to the Class of 2025 — we are proud of you and excited for what comes next!
