Access and Foundation Diploma Art & Design students from Kingston College recently visited the Tate Modern to experience The Genesis Exhibition: Do Ho Suh: Walk the House, a major survey of work by the acclaimed Korean-born, London-based contemporary artist.

Do Ho Suh is renowned for his immersive, large-scale installations that explore themes of home, memory and identity through sculpture, video and drawing. The exhibition offered students a unique opportunity to engage with his architectural fabric pieces and conceptual works up close.

During the visit, students gathered inspiration for upcoming units, sketching and reflecting not only within the exhibition but also along the vibrant Southbank and inside the iconic Turbine Hall at the Tate. Their creative responses were captured in beautifully crafted handmade visual journals, showcasing a range of observational drawing, mixed media and personal reflections.

This enriching experience forms part of Kingston College’s commitment to exposing students to world-class art and encouraging critical engagement with contemporary practice.
