South Thames College’s Careers and Employability Teams welcomed a fantastic group of employer partners to its Wandsworth campus to support a large-scale Mock Interview Session as part of Employability Week.
Over 190 learners aged 16–18 took part in the event, gaining valuable experience through one-to-one interviews with real employers. The session provided students with the opportunity to practise answering common interview questions, receive constructive feedback, and build confidence in a professional setting.
Many learners arrived feeling understandably nervous, but throughout the day there was a clear transformation as students grew in confidence and reflected on the feedback provided by employers.
The event would not have been possible without the generosity and commitment of our 35+ employer partners, who volunteered their time and expertise throughout the day. Their support played a vital role in helping students develop essential employability skills and gain insight into real-world recruitment expectations.
South Thames College would like to extend a sincere thank you to all employers who took part and helped inspire the next generation of talent. A huge well done also goes to the learners who participated, many of whom overcame nerves and pressure to make the most of this valuable experience.
