Safeguarding

Meet Level 4 HNC Social and Community Work (Children, Young People and Families) student, Angela Jessamy, who says that "with the remaining few months of the course left, I can vouch that this has been a rewarding experience.”

Angela attends two placements as part of the course: “At Happy Baby Community, I support mothers with welfare, which can include arranging a GP appointment to assisting with form filling for an application. At EACH counselling, I partake in outreach programmes, where I accompany my manager to various train stations and centres within Ealing, where we provide literature on mental health and wellbeing. I also assist with organising “tea and chat,” which is an event held every Friday, where participants gather to play various board and mental health wellbeing games, also offering art activities and having a cuppa and a chat.

"Both placements have provided me with the knowledge and experience needed to pursue future endeavours."
