On Thursday 16 October, Kingston College’s ACT Theatre was transformed into a hub of humour and heart for the annual Momentum Comedy Night, raising an incredible £4,027 for Momentum Children’s Charity.
Sponsored by Merkur Group UK, the event was hosted by the brilliantly witty Erich McElroy (BBC Radio’s Breaking the News) and featured a powerhouse lineup of comedic talent: the ever-charming Lucy Porter, the razor-sharp Mark Thomas, and the delightfully quirky Harriet Kemsley. Their performances brought the house down, delivering an unforgettable evening of laughter—all in support of children with cancer and life-challenging conditions across London, Surrey, and Sussex.
Behind the scenes, our BTEC Production Arts – Technical Theatre students played a vital role in making the night a success, supporting the technical delivery of the show with professionalism and precision.
Tara Sherjan, Head of Public Fundraising at Momentum, shared her appreciation: “We’ve had some fantastic feedback from our comedy event last night. It went extremely smoothly and, as always, the team at the theatre were incredibly helpful. The students were fabulous - so so helpful as always. Please pass on our thanks to Hannah and the team and let them know that we raised an amazing £4,027. Thanks again so much - and see you next year (if not before!).”
Kingston College is proud to support events that combine creativity, community and compassion. We look forward to welcoming Momentum Comedy Night back in 2026 for another evening of big laughs and even bigger impact.
