11th October saw Kingston College and Kingston Chamber of Commerce host a conference to discuss "Planning and Recruitment for a Neurodivergent Workforce".

Sir Ed Davey and Madame Mayor Cllr Diane White opened the event for guests from local businesses and schools who heard from a panel about how neurodiverse learners were valuable in the workplace and how businesses might make adjustments to be more inclusive. Award-winning social innovation company Auticon, which is an autism-majority company, spoke about their business model, and Cllr Andreas Kirsch discussed local support.

Three of our own high needs students were on hand as ambassadors to meet and greet the guests.

It was a great networking event, and learning was enjoyed by all!
